Large and small enterprises respond to Requests for Proposals (RFP) in order to win business contracts. In this presentation to DAAUG, you will see how MS Access has been used to develop a knowledgebase that ensures that corporate, industry and competitive information is readily accessible to business development teams. The application uses functionality built into Access to view, query, and output information (sometimes data) to MS Word, Excel, Project, Outlook, and MapPoint. The app makes extensive use of memo and date fields.
The presenter will be David Nealey, a business and proposal consultant. He has been an Access user and DAAUG member for the past three years. He has taken Access classes from Scofield Business Services of Denver and Red Rocks Community College. David has consulted on numerous proposals for companies in Colorado, Florida, Virginia, and Texas. He recently supported a Geographic Information Systems Needs Assessment for a major water-electric-fiber utilities company in Florida using Six Sigma and "Voice of the Customer" principles. He enjoys playing with his first grandson and vacationing in Florida.
